The sunset is both beautiful and unique everywhere, and the end of day in Phoenix Arizona is no exception. I’ve witnessed many since moving to the Valley of the Sun. Will there ever be a day when that sinking star doesn’t stop me in my tracks? Probably not.

The scorching heat of the summer extends even into the night. As the sun drops toward the horizon, the rays from the West sizzle the entire city. It seems there’s nowhere to escape the blaze. No breeze, no rustle in the trees. Just the fire in the sky.

And thus, my inspiration for the Phoenix Sunset mini collection
The mixture of gold, orange, red and yellow evokes blazing heat and the energy of fire. If you’ve been to Phoenix in July, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

And what would it be without glitter? I’ve used gold, bronze and red glitter to capture the glisten of the sun.

Gold is having a moment, and so are these pieces. I paired it with a coppery bronze to keep it current, with a 90s touch.
The wavy yet geometric pattern is meant to evoke a heat wave.
If you’ve never been to Phoenix, I invite you to come. Even though it feels hotter than walking on the sun, I promise you “It’s a dry heat”
